These are hot spots; areas that offer easy ways to get massive amounts of loot at the fastest possible rate. However, to ensure that not all players are overpowered, there are very few of these on the map. Here's how to locate hot spots in Fortnite.

Where are the hot spots in Fortnite?

Players looking for Hot Spots will need to keep an eye on the minimap as the Battle Bus flies around at the start of a game. This is because their locations are indicated by POIs in gold text and are not guaranteed to stay in the same location every match. 

 
As shown below, players do not need to visit named locations ahead of time to determine if they are Hot Spots, as question marks will also be highlighted. However, there will only be two hot spots per game, so expect them to be packed with opponents.

The main thing that separates Hot Spots from other areas of the map is that they are the exclusive hosts for flying drones. There are multiple drones hovering over each Hot Spot, all of which can be destroyed for high-rarity weapons, medkits, and shield items. In our experience, drones only require one shot to take down, so we highly recommend finding them before other players.

If all drones in a hot spot are destroyed, it's also worth checking to see if the location's capture point has been taken. Capture Points can hold just as much promise when it comes to earning valuable loot, as those who raise their banner over one will be rewarded with at least two weapons and the ability to see all chests through nearby walls.
